Details
On September 11, 2001, the publishers of The Record, a New Jersey newspaper, dispatched staff photograph Thomas E. Franklin to the World Trade Center site. Franklin photographed three New York City firefighters raising the American flag atop a pile of smoldering ruins. The Record published the photograph in its September 12, 2001, edition.
North Jersey Media Group Inc. hired Dunnegan & Scileppi LLC to enforce the copyright in this photograph. As part of our mission to do so, we have successfully tried an action against CafePress Inc., and are pursuing actions against a national cable television company, as well as a former governor and Vice Presidential candidate.
